Denise Johnson is an artist and instructor who grew up in Southern California, where she continues to live with her husband and twin boys. She earned a B.A. in Art and Psychology from the University of California, Riverside in 1997 and her M.F.A in 2000 from the California Institute of the Arts. She began teaching at Chaffey in 2005, and has also taught at Cal State San Bernardino, Mt. San Jacinto College in Menifee and NuView High School in Nuevo. At these schools, she has taught Art Appreciation, prehistoric to medieval art history, renaissance to modern art history, modern to contemporary art history, women's art history, the history of photography, art of the ancient Americas, and drawing. When she's not in the classroom or the studio, Denise enjoys reading, going to car shows and art exhibitions, riding her motorcycle and discovering oddball places, that are off the beaten path with her boys. |
